Mansfield moves from radio to TV

Launching on Thursday, 7 October 2010, at 9pm is CNBC Africa's new financial and investment show, "Mansfield's Money Sense", hosted by former radio breakfast show presenter Jeremy Mansfield.

"The bulk of CNBC Africa's weekday programming is aimed at the financial and investment community," says CNBC Africa features editor Jill de Villiers. "With Jeremy Mansfield joining our lineup, a new group of potential viewers will be drawn to the business channel. They'll tune in to see the world of money and investment from a perspective that is relevant to the ordinary person interested in making money."

Mansfield comments, "There are loads of issues out there which viewers with money to invest would want to look at from a common sense point of view. They are interested in personal finance and investment options and they want information packaged and presented in easy-to-understand terms. I will speak to the experts in ordinary English and won't allow them to lapse into their market jargon, which tends to lose me."

The intention is to always remain topical and to examine market effects on the investment options of medium- to high-nett-worth individuals.

The topic for the first show is "The World Economy in Perspective". Other upcoming topics include "The 3 Pillars of Wealth"; "Dissecting the Rand"; and "From Sportsman to Investor".

There will be repeats on Saturdays at 9am, 4pm and 10pm, and on Sundays at 12 noon and 8pm.
