Oracle makes history
Oracle Airtime Sales has announced that History Channel on DStv's Channel 68, will be launching commercially in July. The channel 'where the past comes alive', is devoted exclusively to historical programming and features informative and entertaining series, special programmes and documentaries, which are broadcast daily from 18h00 till midnight.
Research conducted to date indicates that the History channel enjoys an average rating of 0.5 ARs against DStv adults.
Another channel that recently went commercial was Animal Planet, expanding the nature-related programming on the DStv bouquet. Animal Planet is the only DStv channel dedicated exclusively to the relationship between human beings and animals and is broadcast from 18h00 - 24h00, Monday to Friday and 14h00 - 24h00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
As a launch initiative, Oracle is offering advertisers added value specials on July campaigns on both History Channel and Animal Planet. Detailed packages are available on the Oracle rate card.
In addition, Fashion TV will also be going commercial towards the end of the year, offering suitable brands exciting opportunities to talk to their target audience.
