OFM changes from 97.1 to 94.0 in Potchefstroom
Exciting things are happening in Potchefstroom from Tuesday 10 May when Central South African radio station, OFM switches from 97.1 FM to 94.0 FM. This change in frequency will increase OFM's transmitter power for Potchefstroom and in doing so, increase their coverage area and the quality of their broadcast signal.
The change was necessitated by the positive growth and economic development of Potchefstroom with an increased demand of a better quality signal. The power transmitted on the 97.1 FM frequency was not strong enough for an ever growing listenership in Potchefstroom. 94.0 FM is fifty (50) times stronger than the current signal and listening pleasure in cars, homes and offices will therefore be much better. OFM is excited about the change in frequency and is committed to continue delivering entertaining and engaging radio to the listeners of Potchefstroom.
OFM, is Central South Africa's premier commercial radio station, offering a mix of music, news and entertainment. The station serves the affluent SEM 7+ economically active marketplace with a broadcast footprint across the Free State, Northern Cape, southern Gauteng and North West.
