Good Hope FM upgrades network frequencies

This Monday, 29 November, Good Hope FM listeners will need to retune their RDS radios to ensure clearer and uninterrupted reception whilst driving, as Sentech upgrades the station's network frequencies.

Radio Data System (RDS) is a feature used on FM to enable you to see the station name on the radio display. It also allows your radio to automatically tune to a stronger signal so that you can enjoy uninterrupted listening whilst driving within the coverage area of the transmitter network.

Said Station Manager Helen Graham: "Good Hope FM is continuously striving to be the leader in technology and is constantly improving its facilities to deliver the best on air sound and applications to our listeners. The network upgrade will not only improve your reception whilst driving but also allow us to implement automated traffic announcements in the coming months."
