Afternoons with Africa in the Cape

Catch afternoons with Africa Melane from 1-3pm each weekday on 567 CapeTalk, when he gives listeners an opportunity to catch up on what's been happening in the city from a lifestyle and news perspective. As they tune in to hear the debates from the morning shows unpacked and analysed, they can add their opinions via sms, social networks or by calling in.

He will be familiar to many CapeTalk listeners who enjoy hearing him present Solid Gold weekends, having been with the station since they discovered him at a talent search competition in 2002, both behind the scenes and in front of the mike.

He will ensure that the useful information discussed on the show, from money matters to DIY tips, will be made available via links to stories on Twitter and audio podcasted to the website.

"The show is conversational and invites callers to share experiences rather that just opinion," said CapeTalk programming manager, Colin Cullis. "Listeners can look forward to both pearls of wisdom and peals of laughter."
