New breakfast host for Capricorn FM
According to Shonisani Muleya, Capricorn FM programme manager, Maumela could not have joined the station at a better time. “Mpho will be part of a show that is already welcomed by many in Limpopo and as such she will form part of a great morning that the show brings to the people of the province.”
Maumela was identified after an intense search for a dynamic young woman to join the hardworking and creative team that is intent upon changing the face of morning radio in Limpopo. Mpho has a BA degree in media studies from the University of Venda, equipping her with the necessary training to make it in the broadcasting world. This, says Capricorn FM, combined with her natural talent, makes her ideal for the job.
Capricorn FM has been rated the fourth largest independent regional radio station in SA, a diamond arrow award winner in the PMR Awards for two years in running, and the breakfast show being regarded as the sixth largest breakfast show in the country, according to the latest SAARF reports.
The station broadcasts 70% in English and 30% in vernacular, incorporating the three dominant ethnic groups in the province (tshiVenda, sePedi, xiTsonga). For more, go to www.capricornfm.co.za.
