Bush Radio founder dies

Edric was an activist who played a pivotal role in the establishment of various community media organisations, including Bush Radio.

As a staff member of the Casette Education Trust, CASET, Edric and others produced cassettes with anti-apartheid, health and social upliftment messages. This information was distributed as an alternative message to the state controlled media.

In the late 1980's Edric was part of the discussions to set up a community radio station in Cape Town, that station was later to be called Bush Radio. He was involved in Bush Radio in various roles, from founder, staff member, trainer, volunteer, board member and mentor.
