Let's talk about sex, baby
Broadcast on Thursdays at 10.30pm, the talk show expose viewers to a mature, fun and adventurous forum that discusses and debates the many issues surrounding relationships, in an entertaining way.
Pillow Talk is hosted by an all-female team consisting of mediator Good Hope FM DJ Suga, couple and sex therapist and clinical sexologist Dr Eve, and O Magazine editor Kgomotso Matsunyane.
The goals of the show are:
- To create a forum in which open, adult conversations about relationships can occur;
- To create a show that is interactive, a show where viewers participate on many levels, sharing their stories and learning from other peoples stories;
- To reflect the diverse nature of relationships and to empower people to create their own unique relationships in a responsible way by exposing them to the diversity of relationships that exist;
- To give people permission to break out the traditional model of relationships that society holds up to us as an ideal and which do not work.
The show will provide the educational forum in which individuals expose themselves to learning about new ways of relating that are healthy and responsible.
The interactive nature of Pillow Talk will give participants the chance to share their experiences, and to learn from each other while gaining insights into the often murky waters of relationships. Pillow Talk will cover all aspects of relationships, including sex, which will be handled in a tasteful manner. The aim is to educate without preaching.
The in-studio discussions and interaction with callers is combined with interviews with various experts, as well as inserts of opinions of people on the street. Each week the panel will examine a different subject, and viewers are invited to SMS or call with suggestions for future topics.
Pillow Talk is broadcast every Thursday at 10.30pm on SABC 3 with a repeat on Sundays at 11pm.
