A former Miss India South Africa, 28-year old Sorisha Naidoo is no stranger to 94.7, having done the graveyard shift there on weekends when she first started out in radio in 2001. Following a stint at an events company and as the weekend graveyard shift host at East Coast Radio in 2002, she joined Southern Sun-KZN as its regional public relations manager. At the same time, she presented a television game show.
In 2003 she left Southern Sun to start her own events company, while retaining a daytime weekend slot on radio, and later penned a social column for the Sunday Times Extra supplement.
In 2004, Sorisha left the world of PR behind as she took up the post of co-anchor on East Coast's breakfast show, and also landed a leading role in an SABC 1 drama series last year.
Concludes Ravi Naidoo, "We're confident that listeners will quickly grow to love this new voice and all the fresh, new on-air qualities she brings with her."
