Vuvuzelas from Bonn to Berlin
Equipped with a field recording kit and vuvuzela, Nadia Samie, trainee news editor of Bush Radio 89.5 FM, is bringing a unique flavour to the World Cup - it might even help you forget South Africa is not in the running. Samie is currently in Germany as part of a Deutsche Welle training course entitled, "More Than Football: Reporting Around the 2006 FIFA World Cup".
"I am proud to represent community radio and hope to bring a fresh perspective to the coverage from Germany," enthuses Samie, who has already filed several special features for Bush Radio 89.5 FM.
Samie is one of a handful of African, Asian, European and Latin American journalists selected to cover the Cup as part of the training course.
