MTN revises, improves its smartphone app
"We have evolved myMTNza into an interactive tool for our customers‚" claims Mapula Bodibe‚ general manager: consumer segments at MTN SA.
"The app now allows smartphone and feature phone users to access the mobi site and the services that they were unable to access prior to this such as recharging their airtime‚ buying SMS and Internet bundles and checking their discounts directly from their handsets.
Bodibe claims that myMTNza is based on the customer's need for convenience and provides access to all the functionality that was previously not available to tablet users.
The app is free in various online stores‚ but standard data rates apply for the download. No data charges are levied when using the app on the mobi site locally but if a user moves off the local site, data rates do apply.
