Panel of experts to host Whisky Live Festival workshops
At the FNB Whisky Live Festival, held from 6-8 November 2013, at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, whisky drinkers and connoisseurs will have the opportunity to join one of a series of whisky workshops hosted by some of the world's top experts in the whisky world. The workshops will be custom made for whisky connoisseurs to new whisky drinkers.
A line-up of global whisky experts will grace our shores for the four days of the festival and will include recently nominated Whisky Communicator of the Year, Dave Broom, Highland Park global ambassador; Gerry Tosh, master blender; Ian Change from Kavalan in Taiwan, as well as local whisky experts, Master of the Quaich, Pierre Meintjes and Three Ships and Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky distiller, Andy Watts.
A platform for people to learn
"The fact that we can get top names like Dave Broom to come out and join us for the festival means that we are doing something right. I have always believed that the festival is not only about the whiskies there for people to taste, but it should also provide a platform for people to learn a little more about the world of whisky," said festival co-founder Sian Neubert.
"This year, we have a great calibre of both local and international experts who will be part of the workshops and I am sure that all those who are fortunate enough to be part of these workshops will walk away with a lot of insight," said Neubert.
