Debut album from the Graeme Watkins Project
The Graeme Watkins Project's debut album, "Corridors of the Mind" was launched yesterday, 1 March, 2011. There will be a Joburg launch of the album at Tanz Café, Fourways, on Wednesday 9 March.
"Corridors of the Mind" embodies 18 months of hard work, with songs such as Music Affair already climbing the music charts on SA top radio stations and Bloodshot Eyes, which has a powerful chorus.
A star-studded affair
The Joburg launch evening promises to be a star-studded affair with VIPs and celebrities joining the festivities as othe band takes the stage to launch their album. One fan will win a Carparelli Slimm Black Flame guitar, autographed by the Graeme Watkins Project, to the value of R9000 in a black hard case.
The Graeme Watkins project was formed shortly after Graeme Watkins became a runner-up in the fifth season of the talent search show, SA Idols. A few years later, Grame Watkins, Ryno Zeelie (lead guitar), Rudo Pieterse (bass) and Matthew Marinus (drums) have written and recorded the 10-track debut album, which includes a soulful remake of the Kings of Leon's hit Sex on Fire as a bonus track.
