The Script to debut live in SA

Irish band The Script will be performing in South Africa for the first time when they play at the Coca-Cola Dome, Johannesburg, on 24 June and Grand Arena, GrandWest, Cape Town, on 26 June, 2011.
The Script to debut live in SA

It's been a rags-to-riches glory ride, an emotional rollercoaster, as three young Dubliners have notched up a handful of hit singles including We Cry, Breakeven, and The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Their 2008 debut album "The Script" went to number one in the UK and Ireland and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

    McCartney and U2

Highly passionate, sincere and poetically articulate, The Script have fielded numerous requests to write for other artists, preferring instead to focus on each other. They caught the eye of Paul McCartney, who personally asked The Script to support him on a series of his American stadium shows and recently won Best Live Performance at the Meteor Awards (beating their mentors U2) who they have also supported at their stadium shows.
