In over four decades in the music business, Steve Tyrell has achieved great success as an artist, producer, songwriter, music supervisor and performer. Having produced hits for Grammy-winning artists ranging from Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville, to Rod Stewart and Diana Ross, Tyrell himself has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and gained a passionate following all over the world. His most well-known hits include “The Way You Look Tonight,” “The Simple Life”, “Crush On You” and “The Sunny Side of The Street”. He’s held top positions at Standards, Swing, and Big Band outlets with a following at key Adult Contemporary Radio.

As an artist, all nine of his American Standards albums have achieved top 10 status on Billboard’s Jazz charts, seven of which have achieved top five, and his first album A New Standard was amongst the best-selling jazz albums for over five years.

Diane Schuur grew up surrounded by traditional American jazz, embraced by both of her parents: her father was an amateur pianist, and her mother kept a collection of Duke Ellington and Dinah Washington albums in their home. Not surprisingly, Dinah Washington is often listed as Schuur's major vocal influence. She learned the iconic singer's "What a Difference a Day Makes" while she was still a toddler and developed her own rich, resonant vocal style at a very young age. Schuur is also an accomplished pianist, accompanying herself on stage and on many of her recording projects.

Schuur’s career includes two Grammy Awards (Best Jazz Vocal Performance) for Timeless and Diane Schuur and The Count Basie Orchestra both on GRP Records, the label that launched her career, as well as three additional Grammy nominations for the albums Pure Schuur, Love Songs and individual track The Christmas Song.
