Line-up for Jazz On The Rocks announced
Despite an expanded international contribution, Jazz On The Rocks is a celebration of 'local' - be it the musicians, the people who provide the food, the audience and, more importantly the beauty of this West Coast venue of Tietiesbaai in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, just outside of the fishing village of Paternoster.
The line-up of artists proposes an eclectic music festival solidly rooted in the jazz genre: Pacific Express; Sugar Daddy; Alistair Izobell; Allou April; Wilmot Fredericks. Boy Basson; N2, The Rockets; Pedestrians; Jonathan Rubain; Steyn Fourie; Santana Tribute by Brent Kus; Richard Ceaser who will be playing with Ardijah; Public Opinion; Afro Fiesta; Zami Mdingi; Habaneros; and Vernon Castle.
The parties of the 70s and 80s
The festival thrives on nostalgia and the selection of DJs who fill up the time between live music will bring to life the parties of the 70s and 80s. Uncle Cal; Stan 'the Jazz Man' Engelbrecht; Dr Beat and Russell Love Muscle will remind the audiences of times gone by.
From Thursday, 26 February to Sunday, 1 March, 2015, Tietiesbaai is where it is happening. And there are few places in the world where you can you swim, kayak, sunbathe or fish while watching and listening to some of the coolest jazz and music in the world.
