SALA receives SABC support
In support of the South African Literary Awards (SALA), taking place on Wednesday 8 December 2010 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg, its media partner, the SABC will run a competition relating to the awards.
Listeners will have an opportunity to win a set of books from award-winning South African authors. The organisation also supports the awards through its various broadcast platforms.
The awards pay particular attention to the indigenous languages which are often marginalised and thus it is important that the SABC becomes part of this initiative to instil a love for reading and writing in their indigenous languages in its young audiences.
