SABC has announced that the Takalani Sesame Muppets are celebrating ten years of a successful partnership between SABC Education and Sanlam by touring towns in South Africa and that the SMS Matric results line will open in January 2011 for this year's matriculants.

SMS line offers bursary win

SABC and Standard Bank are partners on the Matric information line to provide detailed results in both SMS and voice versions, via News Break 082-152, option 6. All students who register to receive their results via sms will be entered automatically into the draw to win one of four study bursaries sponsored by the bank, each valued at R50 000. Students should SMS their ID number to 35935 and receive detailed results on the day of release via SMS, after submitting their exam number in the reply sms. Students can register from today 1 October 2010.

The SABC provides the service in association with Vodacom, which provides the network infrastructure and additional marketing support, Marketel, developers of the interactive system and providers of ongoing technical support, the Department of Education and the State Information Technology Agency.
