BWA Durban offers bursary
Ann Druce, chair of the Businesswomen's Association (BWA) in Durban, has announced that the BWA in KZN will award a bursary of R10 000 in 2010.
The bursary is awarded annually to a woman with proven academic excellence who resides and studies in KwaZulu-Natal. The closing date for applications has been extended to 9 April 2010.
Druce noted that this bursary is just one of the ways in which BWA provides ongoing opportunities to advance the interests of women in business.
Criteria
The successful applicant must:
- A woman who is a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Reside and study in KZN;
- Registered at a recognised South African tertiary institution (university or university of technology);
- Currently registered for a post-graduate degree;
- The degree must be in a business-related field, eg commerce, information science, business science, business engineering, human resources, etc;
- Have proven academic excellence;
- Demonstrate financial need.
