Time for big dreams in SA
“We are asking South Africans to tell us what their wildest dreams are and we are hoping to make those dreams come true,” says Thami Ngubeni, editor of O, The Oprah Magazine.
“We need to dream again in this country and I hope this special project with Santam and SABC 3 will capture the imagination of our nation and encourage people to express their innermost desires, no matter how big, frivolous or quirky. Only if we dream and believe in the possibility of a positive future for ourselves and our country, can it actually become a reality.”
Invited to submit
South Africans are invited to submit their wildly exciting, special dreams to the Dream Big Team. Over the next couple of months the team will collate all submissions to profile the first winner in the November 2007 issue of O and on SABC 3. Submission is through entry mechanisms published in the August issue of O and an official Dream Big SA website, www.dreambigsa.co.za has also been launched to facilitate online entries and provide interested parties with more information.
“We are extremely excited about this project,” says Dineo Mondlane from SABC 3. “The feel-good factor involved in this project is immense and I am sure everyone who watches it on television will be encouraged to see ordinary South Africans reaching their wildest dreams.”
“Sponsoring Dream Big SA is a natural fit for us,” says Jeanne Fouché, brand manager of Santam. “As a short-term insurer, we aim to add meaning to the lives of South Africans, uplifting where possible, and providing accessible insurance advice and risk-reducing solutions for all.”
