Glow Brand shoes launch, support charities
A new high fashion stiletto incorporates engineering plastics and bright neon colours to produce a unique range that provides wearers with standout crowd appeal, while supporting international charities has been launched internationally.
The Glow Brand, crafted through careful study and engineering in Italy, features a fresh take on a classic design with that of modern contemporary shoemaking. These high-heels, retailing at €85 come in the season's runway colours of hot pink, neon yellow, fluo orange, true green and aqua blue.
Charities
Jennifer Haines inspired the brand's connection to charities. Following in her footsteps, the pump style number 4002 was taken directly from her racing bib, which was awarded to her as a 'number for life' by the Comrades Marathon Green Number Club Roll of Honour. This is awarded only to runners who have run the ultra-marathon for at least 10 consecutive years, finishing as successful medallists. Haines, who passed away from cancer a few years ago, was the mother of the company's MD, Tammy Haines.
The 'value-add' is a further visual connection with the brand's charities worldwide.

Space-age plastic
The high fashion stilettos are made from thermoplastic polyurethane (PU), which is particularly elastic and is technically composed of both hard and soft segments thus giving it similar comfort as leather with the additional benefit of remaining crease fee even after continued wear. It is highly resistant to oil, grease and abrasion. While the stiletto pump in particular is an all season style, the material also has an outstanding low-temperature performance.
Other unique qualities of the shoe include a lightened platform, which is shock absorbing and impact resistant. The 'spinal cord' of the stiletto (the shoe shank), utilises a glass fibre reinforced polyamide, adding strength to both the heel and the arch.
The neon coloured shoes contain special pigments, which causes the shoes to glow in particular ambiances such as near UV light, giving a fun and trendy appearance.
