Suzaan Heyns launches A/W collection with designer handbags
Suzaan Heyns will unveil its True Colours Autumn Winter 2012 collection at SA Fashion Week on the 25 September 2011. This seasonal collection is conceptualised around showing our true colours, or the internal and external perceptions of the individual. The 'True Colours' collection will be complemented with the launch of the brand's first designer handbags.
The Autumn Winter 2012 SA Fashion Week will be held from the 22 - 25 September 2011 at the Crowne Plaza in Rosebank. Suzaan Heyns will showcase its collection in a dual designer show with Colleen Eitzen. The show will be directed by Dirk de Waal, who has managed a host of diverse projects including Sir Elton John's Cape Town Ball; the International Design Indaba Expo - fashion sector; and as many as nine fashion weeks.
De Waal commented, "I am especially excited about the menswear side of this years collection, it is a clever blend of soft and hard elements, just like our internal turmoil."
Suzaan Heyns has collaborated with locally born Leather Rose to launch her brand's first designer handbag range. Every item is handmade and created locally with exotic skins mainly having a South African origin.
Owner Lorinda Roux said, "Leather Rose embraced the opportunity to collaborate with a creative force such as Suzaan. I realised that by utilising our signature crocodile skins in the designs, we could create a capsuled collection of handbags that would perfectly complement her latest collection, 'True Colours', that plays with the effect of reptilian scales."
