Ferguson celebrated his last game in charge of the Red Devils on Sunday, 19 May 2013 - 1500 in total - and watched his team play out a thrilling 5-5 draw against West Brom.

The 71-year-old coach, well-known for his passion and his public displays thereof (especially when he felt a referee was out of line), will be succeeded by David Moyes, who previously managed Everton. Moyes has accepted a six-year contract as Man U's coach.

Moyes will face the challenge of sustaining and maintaining the standard and momentum of the United team, as well as the need to address the issue of Wayne Rooney's contract. There are rumours that the player is set to leave the club, but most feel it would be in the team's best interest if he were to stay.

The world will be watching Moyes as he takes the reins as the new Manchester United coach - no pressure!
