Food lovers and gourmands can look forward to sampling mouth watering tastings of signature dishes from the menu of Bistro Sixteen82, showcasing the culinary flair of executive chef and bistro specialist Brad Ball. The 70-seater cellar door restaurant is set among Cape Town's Constantia vineyards.
Ball will be showcasing some of his signature dishes and wine lovers and can look forward to pairings of delectable tastings from his menus, matched with selected wines from Steenberg Vineyards.
Festival-goers will savour delicious morsels of three signature dishes from the Bistro Sixteen82 menus. Gambas Pil Pil, a serving of shelled tiger prawns in garlic and chilli oil, served from the Bistro Sixteen82 Tapas menu, paired with the Steenberg Semillon 2010; from the main menu the free range pork belly with salted caramel and apple espuma, with Steenberg Catharina 2007; and, for dessert, a chocolate party tart with pink crackle crystal and sherbet, matched with Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay 2009 Methode Cap Classique.
Bistro Sixteen82 forms part of the winery complex at Steenberg Vineyards, comprising the Steenberg Winery, Wine Tasting Bar and Tasting Lounge.
Breakfast is served from 9am to 11.30am. Lunch is served from 12.30pm to 4pm and snack platters are available throughout the day from the interactive Raw Food Bar.
