Media Inflation Watch report out next week, diarise ABF Golf Day

The Jan-June 2011 Media Inflation Watch Report will be presented on 2 November 2011 by industry expert Mike Leahy of Media Manager and Bizcommunity columnist and non-executive chairman of the board, Chris Moerdyk will be MC for the ABF Cape Town Golf Day on 17 February 2012.

What's your media budget worth?

Leahy dissects each medium type and channel from those that contribute to higher media inflation and those that buck the trend. He sheds light on this year's analysis of capital cost and performance comparisons by media category, together with a detailed breakdown of the components of the various media segments.

Overall, television media inflation does not tell the entire story, as interesting differences between 'free to air' and 'Pay TV' emerge. Media is a highly volatile business, new opportunities are constantly being presented and more data is being produced more frequently. There is increasing competitiveness between media types and within media types, resulting in rapid changes in rates, performance and calculated value for money.

The presentation begins at 4pm at Ster-Kinekor Preview Theatre 185 Katherine Street, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Golf Day returns to Cape Town

Sharlene Vallance, executive committee member of the ABF says, "We're thrilled to have Chris all to ourselves for a day. We have not had a golf day in Cape Town for some time and he will be a great addition to the festivities, as we reintroduce this event to the industry. We really appreciate his time and effort and look forward to hosting a real powerhouse event."
