Man's Day, it's a manly thing

Carling Black Label has announced Man's Day is on Saturday 24 April 2010 - a day is when men can just be men and celebrate everything that is great about being a real South African man, such watching the sports channel or simply tossing a steak onto a bed of hot coals.

The brand is offering prizes such as La-Z-Boys, Weber braais and digital cameras through its tavern campaigns, website and can competitions. It will also run a series of events at various taverns leading up to Man's Day in Johannesburg and Cape Town. In Cape Town, men can visit West End in Athlone or the Verdas Guest Lodge in Mapetla, Soweto from 2pm until late. The events offer live entertainment from top musicians, comedians and dancers, T-Bone steaks, watching the day's sports fixtures on large plasma screens while relaxing on the comfortable La-Z-Boys. There will also be the “Men at Play” zone where men can be men and have a good laugh and fun with friends. In this area, men can take part in fun and challenging activities such as human foozeball, pool and Wii games. There will be great prizes up for grabs for participating teams.
