With seventeen to publish its third Afrikaans special issue in June 2006, the first in a series of special Afrikaans editions planned for this year, the magazine's total print order for June will effectively increase to 58 000 copies.
The decision to publish a third Afrikaans edition was based on the sales success of the December 2005 Afrikaans issue, which sold 12 000 out of 15 000 copies printed. Currently the only teen title in South Africa to be published 11 times a year, seventeen is also the only one that is now released in both languages.
