Mountain bike clinics to extend to KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape
The TREAD Skill Clinics for mountain bikers, currently held in Gauteng, will now be extended to other major centres, starting with KwaZulu-Natal and then the Western Cape during 2011, following a partnership between TREAD Magazine and MiWay MTB, the mountain biking initiative of direct insurer, MiWay.
Besides empowering mountain bikers to ride with better control, which means less physical injuries, the partnership is also aimed at lowering the incidence of bicycle-related damage by reducing the incidence of falls.
"Developed initially by mountain biking specialist company, Cult Cycling, the skills clinics have helped hundreds of mountain bikers improve over the past seven years," said Sean Badenhorst, editor of the magazine and a Skills Clinic chief instructor.
