Drive Out goes quarterly

South Africa's 4x4 lifestyle magazine, Drive Out, will add a fourth issue to its current annual three issues per year print schedule, according to publisher Naomi Herselman, New Media.

Initially published solely as an annual trail guide, Drive Out has evolved over the past five years into a 176-page outdoor lifestyle publication. "The decision to publish a fourth issue is in response to reader and advertiser demands," says Herselman.

"Although Drive Out's primary focus is to give readers the best possible information on off-road trails, the magazine won't ignore the many non-4x4 readers it has attracted who also enjoy travelling off the beaten track," says Drive Out editor Andrew Nunneley. "Over the past year readers have engaged positively with the added features such as what to pack and what other destinations can be explored besides 4x4 trails. By publishing a fourth issue we can provide readers with more reading pleasure and ensure that the information is current and newsworthy."

The shelf dates for the four issues have been set for March, June, September and November 2005.

Drive Out was recently awarded Highly Commended in the motoring category of the prestigious Pica awards and the annual Drive Out Top Ten 4x4 Trails issue is currently available countrywide for R34.95. For subscription queries and further details log onto www.driveout.co.za.
