Graphic design bursary deadline extended

The deadline for application for the annual South African Graphic Design Council (think) education bursary has been extended to 28 January 2005. South African citizens studying or preparing to study in the fields of Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Multimedia/New Media Design, or Digital Design at any accredited tertiary education institution in South Africa are eligible to apply.

Three bursaries, each in the amount of R5000, will be awarded to successful applicants and funds will be paid directly to the institutions at which these students will be studying. The monies may be applied, at the discretion of the institution head, towards tuition, materials, or whatever expenses will best assist in supporting the student's design studies for 2005.

Applicants are required to demonstrate financial need as well as the potential for achievement in their chosen field of study. Together with the application forms, that are available for download on the think website on www.think.org.za, applicants must also submit a portfolio of work or motivation to demonstrate the above requirements.
