New editor at Wild
Dr. Romi Broom joins Wild, the quarterly publication of the Wild Card Programme, described by her as "South Africa's leading conservation and wildlife magazine and the ultimate guide to our protected areas."

As a member of the Wild Team at TiP Publishing and in her role as content marketing strategist, she will also oversee its digital and social media platforms. That includes the monthly e-newsletters to a subscriber base of 100 000-odd Wild Cardholders and the increasingly popular website.
Broom, who initially taught at the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University, exchanged academic life early on for journalism - writing for consumer magazines and editing award-winning custom publications. Having edited a magazine for an international loyalty scheme, she also understands the challenges and opportunities of customer relationship marketing.
She is the author of several books that reflect her passion for natural and cultural heritage. She has documented the history of quite a few Cape wine farms and has recently published a book on the rare lions of Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique.
Her first edition as editor, the 2010 special Soccer World Cup issue of Wild,, which includes a free fold-out map of South African National Parks, will be available from the 7 June 2010 at all the Wild Parks. To subscribe go to www.wildcard.co.za.
