The website's aim is to provide quality information on Africa to time-pressed decision makers who need to grow their businesses on the continent.
The new Business in Africa website, a joint project between Mail & Guardian Online, iafrica.com and Business in Africa, was officially launched this week with a paid content subscription offering and a fully searchable archive of the magazine's back issues.
Business in Africa Publisher Everest Ekong says the website was launched in response to the growing interest investors have in Africa as they seek reliable business intelligence on the continent.
"Business in Africa magazine has assembled an archive of quality business information on the continent since 1993. We pleased to be able to share this unique resource with our growing marketplace," says Ekong.
Manager & editor of the Mail & Guardian Online Matthew Buckland believes that the new design and focus of the Business in Africa website will establish it as one of Africa's top online destinations for business news and advice.
"We are very pleased to be associated with a brand such as Business in Africa magazine which also publishes in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. The deal, which includes a marketing presence on the Mail & Guardian website and the newspaper, complements our strategic objections to become a force in Africa," says Buckland.
