SA Computer Magazine revamped after reader survey
The magazine, which says it epitomises the ultimate consumer guide to the latest and greatest digital and tech gear, together with reviews and useful information, has received a complete facelift and content review in line with the results of the reader survey.
Living the technology life
"Living the technology life is more than merely a slogan here at SACM and the new-look magazine will certainly show our readers how to experience, embrace, and enjoy the technology-driven lifestyle. The redesign is focused around delivering the most relevant content while upping the quality and quantity of the articles our readers enjoy every month," said editor of SACM, Regardt van der Berg.
The redesign was fuelled by a survey in which readers were quizzed on their thoughts and comments on the magazine. It has helped a great deal with the redesign and provided the team with a great deal of insight in terms of what readers specifically want and the course of direction that the publishers would like to plot as a whole.
More than a fresh coat of paint
"The SACM redesign is more than merely a fresh coat of paint. What we have here is the creative result of a bunch of crazy people who are passionate about technology. The products we review, the topics we cover and the tutorials we deliver are all aimed at a market that wants to embrace a digital lifestyle. Think of SACM as your manual for modern living and you will get where I am going with this," said Regardt.
"The redesigned August issue of the magazine offers more 'Hands-on' and 'How-to' articles aimed at a practical digital lifestyle. It contains more reviews on products that matter and, of course, round-ups that will inspire readers to make the best purchasing decisions. The changes incorporate ideas from reader comments, the recent survey results and opinions from our readers who interact with us on social media websites, such as Twitter and Facebook. SACM is a magazine for people who eat, sleep and drink technology, people who want to learn more about locally available products, trends and opinions in a South African context, as well as the global footprint. The August issue is out on the shelves now, so go and grab a copy and be a part of the technology evolution," concluded Regardt.
