Name change for fleet mag
Autonews has recently been rebranded to Fleet. “We felt there was a need to more clearly identify our content,” explains editor Colin Windell. “For a shade over 10 years Autonews has provided essential news and information to the corporate and fleet vehicle buyers who are responsible for the purchase of more than 85% of all new vehicles sold locally each year.”
He continues, “Now, moving into our second decade we felt it was important the masthead accurately reflected our core business - Fleet. Nothing else changes. The company - Autonews (SA) Pty Ltd - the people and the product remain the same, just more focused.”
The company was founded in January 1998 and in January 2007 sold 49% of its shareholding to Future Publishing in order to maximise the synergies that exist between the two.
The change became effective with the issue of the May 2008 magazine.
