Topco Media to launch Management Today

The London-based global Haymarket Publishing Group's new licensing agreement with TopCo Media in Cape Town gives the latter the licence to publish Haymarket's successful monthly, Management Today. The business title will be published from April 2007 in South Africa and will include international and relevant UK business news from the UK edition.

Topco Media director and Management Today South Africa publisher Ralf Fletcher explains: "After a long search, this partnership with Haymarket in South Africa comes at the right time. With our own stable of business products, we will now be publishing among the most sophisticated business titles in this country. Our customers are already excited about the venture."

In the UK, Management Today enjoys a readership of over a 100 000 copies monthly. In SA, the publication will fulfill the growing trend for information about leading South African and international organisations, as well as the individuals behind these organisations.

Around 60% of the magazine will be SA- and African-based. The initial print run will be 30 000.

Haymarket is committed to publishing outstanding editorial products and building strong partnerships with like-minded publishers around the world.

Haymarket's licensing director Tim Bulley explains: "This licence agreement is the beginning of a relationship that will enable us to grow our business to business portfolio considerably in South Africa and is in line with our global expansion strategy. We take an active role in understanding our partners' businesses and their markets so that we can jointly explore and exploit exciting new opportunities together."

Fletcher adds: "We see these license agreements with Haymarket Publishing as a significant strategic move for Topco Media. By linking with one of the UK's leading publishers, this expands and complements our existing portfolio perfectly."
