Retail risk conference looks at insider fraud
Jointly hosted by the Consumer Goods Council and Hi-Tech Security Solutions, it is aimed at retail, forecourt, shopping centre and distribution business executives, security and risk managers. Also aimed at security professionals who provide security services to the retail and distribution sector, the conference aims to provide delegates with real world, practical solutions that will assist them in securing their retail businesses.
This year's conference will build on the success of the previous three years and examine the benefits of the newly developed business/SAPS partnership in preventing crime as well as the tell tale signs of insider fraud. It will also look at the way in which technology has improved the security of retailers and their customers in environments, where management made security investments with an eye on achieving real returns and ensuring a conviction in every court case.
The ever-changing features, functionality and capabilities of new technology are changing the way everyone, from individual retailers through to malls and shopping centres, is able to secure operations, people and profits. The goal is that what starts out as a security solution will have a measurable, operational return on investment and contribute to the bottom line.
