How to keep buildings cool without air conditioning - according to an expert in sustainable design
Aurore Julien 29 Jul 2019
The expo is organised in partnership with the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Sairac).
Visitors to the show will be able to connect with exhibitors, source brands and products, view live demonstrations and engage with experts for technical advice. They will also learn about the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly on the development of eco-friendly, energy efficient, and sustainable technologies for the future.
Sairac will be hosting free-to-attend seminars as part of its commitment to further the education of the HEVAC&R industry. These seminars will feature local and international industry experts from all over the HEVAC&R spectrum.
Three members of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (Ashrae) will be presenting three-hour-long short courses; continuous professional development (CPD) points will be allocated for the courses.
The courses are as follows: Designing and operating high-performing healthcare HVAC systems; Basics of high-performance building design; and Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems: design and application.
The inaugural ATMOsphere event on the African continent will be held at Frigair in association with Shecco, a Belgium-based company that has been active in the global HEVAC&R industry for over 15 years. Attendees may look forward to presentations by international and local experts, who will look at the uptake of natural refrigerants in South Africa and beyond.
