Celebrating the strength of womanhood

In celebration of the unique relationship shared between women, as well as National Women's Day this year, the Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust hosted a ladies evening, with Appletiser as the soft-drink beverage sponsor.

Candice Voutyritsas, assistant brand manager at Appletiser SA, was delighted to be involved in the sponsorship of such a valuable and noteworthy organisation. “The atrocity of sexual abuse is faced by many women, every day. We at Appletiser are thankful that we have been afforded the opportunity to assist in empowering and supporting women through the vehicle of Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust. Supplying Appletiser added a special sparkle to this exceptional event.”

The Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust was established in 1976 and this organisation has changed and influenced lives in so many ways. Many women who have faced insurmountable obstacles were helped through the support of the Trust. The Women's Day event provided a glamorous night out, complete with luxurious goodie bags for each guest as well as fabulous lucky draws.

“As a woman, I am inspired by other women - we share a special bond and we intend to celebrate this unique relationship on this day by creating cherished memories,” says Chantel Cooper, Director of the Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust.

All proceeds from this event went towards the services provided by The Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust, to ensure that they can continue to provide counseling and support to thousands of rape survivors and their family and friends. The Trust uses such events to enable continued communication with communities, organisations and government on creating and maintaining awareness around rape.
