US Feds bust 18 in fraudulent online pharmaceutical sales
Eighteen people involved in an Internet pharmacy could face between three and 20 years in prison for each of the many charges against them, along with millions of dollars in fines, for the illegal sale of prescription drugs. A federal grand jury in San Diego has indicted these individuals, who were involved with Affpower, an online pharmaceutical distribution network.
A federal grand jury in San Diego has indicted 18 people involved in an Internet pharmacy that took in US$126 million from the illegal sale of prescription drugs, Assistant Attorney General Alice Fisher of the Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California Karen Hewitt announced Thursday.
