Unilever defines the new middle class

The UCT Unilever Institute, in partnership with Research Surveys, is hosting a series of seminars based on the findings of the single most comprehensive survey to date on South Africa's new middle class - formerly known as the emerging market.

Information such as the size and scope of this market, the factors that distinguish the emerging middle class consumers from those who have already "made it", the consumption habits of this market, as well as their feelings about the current socio-political climate will be addressed.

The seminars take place in Durban on 7 March 2006 at the Royal Hotel, in Johannesburg on 8 March 2006 at Vodaworld Midrand and in Cape Town on 10 March 2006 at Old Mutual Business Park.
