Norton wins Product of the Year

Norton Internet Security 2012 has won Product of the Year in the Computer Protection Category. Run in association with The Sunday Times, Nielsen, The Creative Counsel (TCC) and D!d You Know, these awards are dedicated to recognizing and celebrating innovation in consumer goods.
Norton wins Product of the Year

Product of the Year is open to all consumer products launched, re-launched or innovatively reformulated in South Africa over the past 18 months. Products should demonstrate innovation in one or more areas, whether in design, function, packaging or other aspects. Nielsen conducts the research nationally and a jury selects products for the consumer survey. Over 5000 consumers participate in the survey.

"Norton is delighted to win Product of the Year, an award which reflects the choice of the people," said Kara Rawden, senior marketing manager Middle East & Africa, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec. "With 84% of adults in South Africa having been a victim of cybercrime in their lifetime, the best defence and the greatest way to protect oneself, is to utilise up-to-date, comprehensive security software such as this."
