Cape productivity winners on their way to nationals

Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism for the Western Cape provincial government, has presented Spark ATM Systems with the Western Cape Productivity Award for Outstanding Achievement in Productivity Improvement in the Emerging Sector category.

Other awards included Sappi Cape Craft for the Corporate Sector and Transnet Port Terminals in the Public Sector. Along with Spark ATM Systems, they will go to the National Productivity Awards Finals in Gauteng in October, Productivity Month.

This 2011 Productivity Award ceremony, an annual event which recognises organisations of all sizes for their contribution to building South Africa's productive capacity, is run by Productivity SA in partnership with the provincial government of the Western Cape and the regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Russel Berman, sales director of Spark ATM Systems, says, "It is a real honour to win this award and honours the tireless dedication, innovative spirit, professionalism and complete dedication of our staff to the business and our customers has resulted in this accolade. I accept this award on behalf of the entire team."

Spark ATM Systems, which was founded in 2005, has grown into a national organisation of 79 people with sales and technical capabilities across South Africa. It is the premier independent ATM deployer in SA, accounting for the majority of all new ATM installations in the country.
