HMC Seswa lands Mineworkers Investment Trust

HMC Seswa Corporate Communications has been appointed to handle the marketing and communications of the Mineworkers Investment Trust (MIT). The National Union of Mineworkers established MIT in 1995, as a wealth-creating entity to assist retrenched workers and empower union members.

HMC Seswa lands Mineworkers Investment Trust

The trust disburses funds to three key projects, the Mineworkers Development Agency, JB Marks Education Trust Fund and Elijah Barayi Memorial Centre, which benefit the community and ex-workers in the mining, energy and construction industries.

The main aim of these projects is to improve the quality of life for its beneficiaries, and they help in developing and sustaining, providing education and imparting training and skills.

"The agency takes pleasure in the new opportunities and challenges that the MIT as a brand will be presenting in the future," says Mbali Msimango, practice group head at HMC Seswa.
