IPRA Congress announces speaker line-up

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) World Congress, taking place in Johannesburg, from 27-29 September 2015, has announced its keynote speakers.
    • Alan Vanderemolen, Vice Chairman, DJE Holdings

    • Colin Byrne, CEO UK & EMEA Weber Shandwick
    • Heath Applebaum - Canadian Professor and Reputation Expert
    • Jeremy Galbraith, CEO, Europe, Middle-East and Africa, Global Chief Strategy Officer, Burson-Marsteller
    • Jose Filipe Torres - CEO Bloom Consulting, Country Branding Specialist
    • Msindisi Fengu - Former journalist, winner of the CNN award of Best African Journalist, now Communication Director in a Telco company

Johnny Clegg will officially open the Congress. Johanna McDowell, IPRA Congress Chairman for the 2015 World Congress commented, "It has been wonderful to have the support of South Africa and all of the local organisations in order to host this congress."

The IPRA Public Relations World Congress is held approximately every three years and is a major event in the public relations calendar. Attracting speakers and participants from many countries, it provides an important focus for the association's activities and is a major opportunity for adding to the intellectual capital of the profession.

Its sponsors for the 2015 IPRA World Conference are:

    • Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) representing professionals in public relations and communication management throughout the Southern African region
    • The Council for Communication Management (CCM) representing the interests of the communication profession in South Africa

    • South African Communication Association (SACOMM) representing the interests of academics, students and professional communicators who wish to promote an accepted standard of knowledge and proficiency within the broad discipline of communication

    • Gauteng Tourism will also be offering a similar service for delegates who wish to explore South Africa's richest province
