Simba, probably the world's favourite lion, knows that an active kid is a happy kid, so the iconic big cat has embarked on a nationwide wellness mission that's sure to rrrroar with fun!

The interactive mass media campaign kicked off last week. This exciting initiative includes regular television inserts encouraging young children to participate in short, funky ‘dancercise' sessions - a combination of dance and exercise that promises to be so much fun, kids will forget they're working out.

Each week, youngsters are urged to set aside their sedentary lifestyle for a few minutes a day and learn great new steps to get them moving and grooving like pros. The inserts have been filmed in the studio and on location at picturesque local spots ranging from the zoo to the beachfront.

In addition, Joburg, Durban and Cape Town will each has their own upbeat Ready Steady Go! signature exercise song, performed by kids for kids. Get ready for a battle-of-the-cities playoff to see which trendy tune comes out tops!

Informative inserts will also be aired regularly, providing handy nutrition and activity tips - great for kids and parents alike.

Look out for the SMS competition offering fantastic prizes such as adventure family holidays worth R30000 each, Ready Steady Go! board games and dancercise DVDs. Health-savvy kids 12 and under will have the opportunity to join the Simba Cubz Club and enjoy a range of awesome benefits and goodies.
