Pretoria gets a taste of Portugal
“Folk already know Braza from the great stores already situated around the country,” says Brendan McGhee from Braza. “But Pretoria will never be the same again, thanks to the arrival of Braza in Menlyn Park shopping centre.”
“Great Portuguese cuisine at affordable prices is a winner, and we have been adding more items to our already irresistible menu. Speaking from experience, I know Pretoria will experience an increase in visitors, as the news spreads.
“One Braza fan says ‘I drive about 40 kilometres weekly, just to have their famous Espetada!'”
The secret of the Braza menu is a character by the name of Manuel, who scours the world discovering new flavours to bring back for all to enjoy.
Thanks to Manuel, the new menu includes snails in a creamy oregano-and-garlic sauce and homemade-style soup of the day among the starters. Under Espetada, the range includes traditional beef, chicken and the renowned beef, chicken and chouriço sausage Espetada.
An extensive wine list is now on offer and features nine new selections from Robertson.
Although Manuel frequently introduces new customs, cultures, tastes and flavours, there is one constant at every Braza - the huge open-flame Mozambican-style grill centrepiece - following through to the Menlyn Park restaurant.
The Menlyn Park branch is open daily from 11:30am till late.
