Straight Outta Benoni and onto national success
The Crazy Monkey movie Straight Outta Benoni was the highest grossing movie this weekend at the local box office: Up against big star films like Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger, the monkey came out on top. This is the first movie to get to number one at the box office since the Leon Schuster movies.
Straight Outta Benoni went out on a big release of 45 prints but was up against even bigger footprints with releases like Herbie which went out on 51 prints and Cinderella Man on 54 prints and yet it still outperformed these other titles.
