For each Game team member to complete the swim, the retailer donated R1,000 to the organisation.

This is the sixth year that the retailer has taken to the water to raise money for the many deserving welfare and development organisations supported by Community Chest, resulting in a total donation of R483,000 over this period.

‘This is a true win-win initiative,' said the company's managing director, Jan Potgieter. ‘It is a fun team-building event and will also benefit people in need.'

The team included employees from the retailer, its holding company, Massmart, and Community Chest.
