The 2007 Dalla Cia Sauvignon Blanc is a generous yet refreshing Sauvignon Blanc set apart by its low acidity.
“By minimising total acidity, the wine is slightly less fruity but more complex because of its more natural evolution during fermentation. The result is a wine that is less heavy and much more pleasant to drink,” explains Giorgio.
The new lightly wooded Dalla Cia Chardonnay 2007 is a fragrant, crisp wine teeming with lemon blossom and a hint of dry figs.
Giorgio is reputed to be the first winemaker in South Africa to replace natural cork in his white wines with a new high-tech Italian designed composite closure to eliminate problems associated with “corkage”. This stylish synthetic cork is an integral part of the design concept for the Dalla Cia white wines.
The 2007 Dalla Cia Sauvignon Blanc vintage sells at leading outlets at around R55.00 per bottle whilst the new 2007 Chardonnay is also available at the same price.
