There's time for tea at the Cape Town Flower and Garden Show

Even better than just the time, there's even a spot where you can sit, relax and enjoy a cup or two...

Following on from its successful sponsorship at the Cape Town Flower and Garden Show last year, Five Roses will again be involved in this annual horticultural highlight. The company will be setting up a tea garden at the show, offering visitors a chance to taste the wide range of classic and speciality teas the company produces. In addition, it will also be sponsoring the floral art competition. Designs submitted must fit the imagery and positioning of Five Roses, which is all about finding romance in ordinary, everyday events.

According to the company brand manager, Janet Rose, the brand is on a drive to bring modernity into the tea occasion:

“Five Roses has a wonderful heritage in this country – one that has taken 120 years to build. Now is the time to drive the modern-day elegance and romance portrayed by the brand.

"Sponsorships like the Cape Town Flower and Garden Show help us to show Five Roses in this more contemporary light,” she comments.

The show is a four-day event held in the grounds of the Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West and it runs from Thursday 25 October to Sunday 28 October. Nature enthusiasts can experience a host of show gardens, flowers and floral displays, wines, boutique cheeses, olives and a relaxing collection of classical music.

Of course, the company's iconic red rose brand persona and logo ties in perfectly with an event dedicated to the celebration of all things floral, so guests to the show will be able to take a break from bustle, relax and savour the moment with a cup of tea at the tea garden.

The show opens at 9am daily and closes at 6pm and at 7pm on Saturday only, with an entrance fee of R50 for adults and R35 for scholars while children under 12 are free. Senior citizens will pay R35.

Tickets are on sale from Computicket (http://www.computicket.co.za) or at the gate. Secure parking will be available all day.
